Translations have included diverse topics from general information to technical and to post-doctoral research. Best practices for translation and customer satisfaction have been key to long-term success.
Key to our success:
- Customer focus
In 2010, Ellen Krabbe (the scientist) returned to the United States and partnered with Isobel Hie (the English specialist), to provide translation services in both Europe and the United States. Ellen and Isobel had already been working together for a number of years.
In 2011, Ellen took research and communication skills in a new direction by accepting a full-time position in a multinational manufacturing corporation. A considerable amount of time was committed to studying intellectual property in general and patents in particular. Skills acquired include portfolio management, knowledge of US and international patent law, searching and analysis. Working with divisions in North America, Latin America and Europe, was a great opportunity to use existing technical skills and apply newly acquired skills in intellectual property.
